  • August 30 - Construction started this morning with curb work at the north and south end of the project area.  This week construction will be from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, and will require lane shifts in the work areas only. • October 1 - This past week the City’s contractor, Cadman Construction was not able to pave due to the inclement weather during the week.   The application of pavement over a milled road surface requires the roadway to be dry and above a certain temperature in order for the new pavement to adhere to the milled road surface. Next week Cadman is scheduled to pave Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday night from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, of course this will be weather dependent.  Once the paving is complete, the project will be suspended for the appropriate cure time before the final striping will occur.
  • October 8 - On Thursday night, the contractor was able to complete the signal loop detector corrections that were needed before they could start the paving.  Next week the project is scheduled to continue during the night hours of 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM with the final paving.  The working days will depend on the weather, as the pavement needs to be dry in order to do the final paving. We thank you for your continued support and patience during this process.
