Holiday Carousel and Ferris Wheel
A Holiday Carousel and Ferris Wheel are located downtown Arlington next to Legion Park. The rides are provided at no-cost. Presented by the City of Arlington with funding from the Arlington Hotel/Motel Tax grant.
Dates: Friday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025.
Monday to Saturday hours: noon to 7pm, Sundays noon to 6pm. Sensory friendly (no music) on Sundays, 11am to noon.
Wheelchair ramp is available for carousel.

Hometown Holidays Santa Parade
Arlington welcomes Santa to town with a parade! The parade starts at noon on Olympic Avenue and features a wagon carrying Santa and Mrs. Claus, classic cars, dancers, scouts, community groups with floats and lots more! Following the parade, Santa is available for visits until 3 p.m. at Legion Park.

- Festive sweater contest at the stage at Legion Park, after the parade. Sponsored by Arlington Lifeway.
- Santa Breakfast, sponsored by Arlington Education Foundation. Located at Presidents Elementary School. 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. seating and 10:30 a.m. to noon seating. Pancake breakfast, hot cocoa bar, crafts, pictures with Santa. $15 per person, tickets available at www.arlingtonedfoundation.org.
- Visits with Santa at Legion Park after parade at Legion Park gazebo, until 3 p.m.

Hometown Holiday Kickoff, Shop Small Saturday, Tree Lighting

Come and celeDone Editingbrate Hometown Holidays with us! The festivities begin at 4 p.m. and end at 7 p.m., in downtown Arlington, where the main street, Olympic Avenue, is closed to traffic and open to pedestrian strolling, shopping and visiting the attractions. The Christmas tree is lit with colorful lights at 5 p.m. The community gathers to sing carols and spread holiday cheer. Legion Park is decorated with holiday lights and there are plenty of fire pits to keep you warm and falling snow to dance under.
- Lighted vehicles on display, Night of Lights, registration is closed 5 days prior to event.
- Shop Small specials in participating stores
- Tree Lighting at 5 p.m. in Legion Park with Mayor Vanney
- Holiday Lights at Legion Park, sponsored by Amazon
- Charm Walk: Registration $20, a portion of proceeds will go to Christmas Wish toy drive. Presented by Stilly Valley Chamber of Commerce. Pick up is at the Depot Visitor Center at Legion Park, 404 N Olympic Avenue

Toy Drive: A Christmas Wish assists families in need in Arlington and Darrington by providing Christmas gifts through generous community donations and volunteer support. Drop off a toy at a business during the toy drive or visit the website for more information on how to donate, shop or volunteer. Dog & Cat Shelter Supplies: During this holiday season, the Arlington Police Station has a donation bin in their lobby (110 E. 3rd Street) for animal items to support Skagit Valley Humane Society and NOAH. The City of Arlington contracts with the Skagit Valley Humane Society shelter when we pick up stray animals.
Items needed include dog and cat dog foods, kitten formula, dog treats, dog and cat toys, dog collars and leashes, blankets, fleece cat beds, nail clippers, brushes and combs, cloth and paper towels, dryer sheets, dish soap, cleaning supplies, gas cards, new and used bathroom rugs, office supplies, copy paper. https://www.arlingtonwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/12198/Animal-Shelter-wish-list-2024
Santa Run: The annual Fire Department Santa Run food drive's 30th year! Santa visits neighborhoods throughout our city and collects nonperishable food items for local foodbanks with firefighters and friends. Santa Run website.
Arlington Kids' Kloset: Kids' Kloset provides new and gently used clothing and personal hygiene products to low-income students ages pre-k through 12th grade.
