Construction Project Update: Broadway Street Opens, Prepare for Division Street Closure

Phase 1 opened Friday, August 29 to the public on the Division / Broadway Restoration project.

This week construction occurred Monday through Thursday with roadway cleanup, final paving of Broadway Street and Phase 2 traffic control set up. The contractor will return to phase 1 when the raining season starts to complete the landscaping. Broadway Avenue and Division Street will be open to the public over Labor Day weekend.

On Tuesday, September 2 the phase 2 closure of Division Street will begin. This work is estimated to be complete by October 6. Next week construction will occur Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Work is scheduled to include mobilization, roadway excavation, removal of concrete, asphalt demolition, stormwater catch basin relocation, and installation of rolled curbs.

Please use the designated detour route when traveling or accessing local businesses in the area. Temporary bus stops are available for Community Transit users. Detour map is available on the project webpage.
