National Night Out Against Crime Event

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and to provide an opportunity to promote and celebrate public safety-community partnerships in crime prevention efforts. This night is an opportunity for residents to promote police-community partnerships, crime prevention, and neighborhood camaraderie. In addition, National Night Out strengthens neighborhood spirit, sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

From 5 to 8 p.m. on the first Tuesday in August, residents in neighborhoods throughout Arlington and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors. Many neighborhoods throughout Arlington will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, ice cream socials, potlucks and games. For further information on how to register for your party, contact us at 360-403-3400.
