  2. Snohomish PUD Microgrid and Clean Energy Tech Center Open House

    Attention Arlington Airport Pilots PUD Open House on the Microgrid & Clean Energy Technology Center Snohomish County PUD is designing and building a Microgrid & Clean Energy Technology Center, located east of the Arlington Airport on 59th Avenue NE. The facility includes a 500kW solar array among other facilities. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2019. This second open house will focus on the solar component and the FAA required glare study conducted by the PUD’s engineering firm Burns & McDonnell, but will also have information on the other components of the project. The first open house on February 21 was for the project in general. A microgrid is a group of interconnected components and energy resources which can be connected to the grid or operate independently.   3. Neighborhood Meeting - Multi-Family Senior Housing Conditional Use Permit

    AMCAL Multi-Housing, Inc. is proposing to construct a new 255 unit multi-family senior housing community at 3905 172nd Street NE, on approximately 5.4 acres of vacant land. The community will be located at the northern portion of the property. Units will be available exclusively to senior households earning no more than 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). The proposed project includes the construction of a 214,017 square foot four-story building comprising of 175 one-bedroom units and 80 two-bedroom units plus parking, open space, landscaping, and other amenities. The community will be accessed from two points via the future 40th Avenue NE. The purpose of this informal neighborhood meeting is to allow members of the public and other interested parties an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and help identify any concerns or issues regarding the specific proposal. At this meeting, the public will have an opportunity to ask questions, review plans, and voice any concerns.
