"Complete Streets" describes a comprehensive, integrated transportation network with infrastructure and design that allows safe and convenient travel in the city for all users. The City of Arlington, with consultant Toole Design Group, will be holding an informational workshop for the Complete Streets program. This workshop is an opportunity for Arlington residents to provide input that can help shape the program for the specific needs of our community.
The Complete Streets program aims to address the needs of all users when development and redevelopment of traffic corridors are proposed with the City. Users include people who drive, family and commuter cyclists, pedestrians, people with accessibility needs, and those who use transit. It also addresses the aesthetics of our streets. This program will influence how our road system and development moves forward and what that means in terms of design, safety, accessibility, aesthetics and maintenance.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Putnam Hall inside the Arlington Airport Office, 18204 59th Avenue NE, Arlington.
