Tuesday, March 20, 2018
Attention Arlington Airport Pilots
PUD Open House on the Microgrid & Clean Energy Technology Center
Snohomish County PUD is designing and building a Microgrid & Clean Energy Technology Center, located east of the Arlington Airport on 59th Avenue NE. The facility includes a 500kW solar array among other facilities. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2019.
This second open house will focus on the solar component and the FAA required glare study conducted by the PUD’s engineering firm Burns & McDonnell, but will also have information on the other components of the project. The first open house on February 21 was for the project in general.
A microgrid is a group of interconnected components and energy resources which can be connected to the grid or operate independently. It’s a system that can remain powered in the event of a power outage and could assist with disaster recovery.
We hope you join us for this open house on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 beginning at 5
